Answers:

		Why do you need to charge for events - is this not covered by my membership fee? The Chamber is a private sector not for profit organisation. Membership fees only cover 30% of running costs therefore event charges go towards covering overheads. If the Chamber does make a surplus then this is reinvested into enhanced member services.
		If I join will I have to pay non member rates for my staff to attend events? No - your membership is corporate, allowing any member of your organisation to participate and take advantage of Chamber services. Your membership subscription is based on the number of employees you have, so the more involvement your team has, the better value for money.
		How much of my time will membership to the Chamber take up? Actually we believe you will save time by being a member. How many times have you pondered over a problem and wasted time because you just haven't had the resources to be able to solve it? By being a Chamber member you have a dedicated team just a phone call away on hand to help you with any problems which may arise. Our event programme is designed to suit all timetables, whether you prefer Breakfast, Lunch or Evening, there is something for everyone.
		Aren't Chambers just an old fashioned club? Chambers of Commerce may be old, but they are not old fashioned. The Chamber aims to be at the forefront when it comes to developing business and with our extensive links both in Britain and overseas we are able to help our members to get ahead. The Chamber sees being old as an advantage rather than a disadvantage and due to our history we can benefit from being a well known name and trusted third party.
		Is my business too small to benefit from membership? Large or small, the Chamber seeks to represent all local businesses and to provide a particular service to small businesses. 48% of the Chambers membership is made up of companies employing 1 to 10 people. By having members of diverse sectors and sizes we can create a more effective networking opportunity for you.
